14 Must-See Holiday Markets Popping Up Across Metro Detroit

Metro Detroit is embracing the holiday spirit with a variety of festive markets and events.

 

Here are 14 must-see holiday markets popping up across the region:

 

1. Downtown Rochester's Cookie Stroll

On November 7, pre-order a special Cookie Stroll Tin for $40.

 

Then, on December 13, use the tin to collect up to 14 cookies from participating Downtown Rochester businesses.

 

Proceeds benefit The Big, Bright Light Show.

 

2. Christmas in Clawson Craft Show

Since 1984, Clawson has hosted this annual craft show, now featuring over 150 artisans and crafters.

 

All proceeds support Clawson's public school students, teachers, and families.

 

3. Downtown Rochester Holiday Expo

On November 10, over 60 businesses will showcase products and services at the Royal Park Hotel.

 

Enjoy light refreshments and door prize drawings.

 

4. Winter at The Station

From November 14 to December 28, Michigan Central in Detroit hosts Winter at The Station.

 

Experience unique gifts from Detroit artisans, live music, local food and beverages, and creative workshops.

 

5. Jingle & Mingle Underground Market

On November 15-16, the basement of Ferndale's Dot parking structure transforms into a market featuring artists, makers, authors, and bakers.

On December 5, Ann Arbor's KindleFest Market offers artisans selling holiday goods, traditional food, and more in a festive outdoor setting.

 

7. Kris Kringle Market

On December 5-6, Downtown Rochester's 17th annual open-air market features over 60 vendors offering holiday dĂŠcor, unique gifts, and seasonal food.

 

Enjoy photos with Santa and a s'mores station.

 

8. Winter Markt

From December 5-7, Birmingham's Shain Park hosts a European-style winter market with holiday light displays, ice sculptures, live entertainment, and vendor booths.

 

9. Royal Oak Holidays' Shops & Sweets Weekend

From December 5-7, Royal Oak features a holiday market with local vendors, live music, Santa visits, a cookie crawl, and marshmallow roasting stations.

 

10. Detroit Urban Craft Fair

On December 6-7, Michigan's longest-running indie craft fair returns for its 20th year at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, featuring over 100 vendors.

 

11. Tinsel & Treasures

On December 12-13, Plymouth's holiday market offers high-quality seasonal dĂŠcor and gifts, along with cocktails and concessions.

 

12. Mistletoe Market

From December 12-14, Downtown Plymouth's indoor-outdoor market features over 40 artisans offering Michigan-made arts, crafts, and culinary treats.

 

13. Handmade Holiday Market

On December 13, Oak Park's Mother Handsome hosts a curated selection of handmade gifts from local artisans and crafters.

 

14. The Michigan Makers Holiday Craft Market

On December 13, Novi's Suburban Collection Showplace hosts over 300 vendors offering thousands of giftable wares, including handmade ceramics and Michigan-made beer, wine, and spirits.
